These terms cover your use of Kenshokin at kenshokin.com. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

What Kenshokin is

Kenshokin is a free sumo prediction game. Banners and prestige are game points and nothing more. They have no monetary value, can't be bought, sold, traded or cashed out, and winning them earns no prize. Kenshokin is not gambling and involves no real money.

Kenshokin is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Japan Sumo Association, any stable or any wrestler. Companies in the game are fictional, and any resemblance to a real business is a coincidence. Some companies are run by the site itself rather than by players.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping access to your email address secure, because that's how you sign in. One person, one account.

What you create

Your company name, banner mark and banner drawing are public. You keep ownership of what you create, and you give Kenshokin permission to store and display it as part of running the game.

Don't post anything hateful, sexual, harassing, unlawful or that infringes someone else's rights, and don't pretend to be a real person or business. Don't cheat, automate play, exploit bugs, or interfere with the site. We may rename a company, remove a drawing, adjust scores or close an account that breaks these rules.

Where you can play

Kenshokin isn't intended for anywhere that restricts prediction games, even free ones with no prizes. It's your responsibility to check that using it is lawful where you are. If it isn't, please don't use it.

The game

Results come from a third-party data source, Sumo-API, and can be late or wrong. We may correct results, void bouts, re-settle bets, adjust the rules or odds, and reset scores or leaderboards. Because the points have no value, none of this creates any claim against us.

Availability

Kenshokin is a hobby project, provided as is and as available, with no warranties. It may change, break, lose data or shut down at any time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Kenshokin and the person running it aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your use of the site. Kenshokin is free, so our total liability to you is limited to zero dollars. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Ending your account

You can stop using Kenshokin at any time, and you can delete your account yourself from your account page.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the U.S. state where Kenshokin's operator lives, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts there, unless the law where you live gives you a different right.

Changes

We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we'll say so on the site. Continuing to use Kenshokin after a change means you accept it.
